Rice confirmed

Condi Rice was confirmed this afternoon by the Foreign Relations Committee. Her confirmation will now move to the senate floor. The final committee vote was 16-2, the two nos were Boxer and Kerry. I have to give Kerry credit. At least he showed up to the committee meeting and voted, something he hasn't done for quite a while. He has fallen back into his normal pattern of being one of the most liberal senators. Looks like she is positioning herself for an unsuccessful run for president. I have to say I was impressed at how calm Dr. Rice remained through the entire questioning. I'm beginning to like her more and more as a future political figure. What are the chances that she would meet Boxer for president or VP in 2008? I caught one of the questions/lectures that Kerry gave during the meeting. He hasn't really changed much, he still gives a ten minute lecture and really says nothing.
