Gay Gene

Is there such thing as a gay gene? In previous years it was widely thought that there was no genetic connection, but new studies on the complete human genome tends to indicate that there may be a connection. Maine State Representative Brian Duprey introduced a bill that would protect gay unborn children from abortion. He argues that if a test is developed that would recognize the gay gene, many mothers were chose to abort for the sole reason of the possibility of the child being gay. If this test was developed, it is argued that many homosexuals would immediately become pro-life. There has been little comments from the left on this bill. On the one hand they oppose any restrictions on abortion. But this bill also directly targets unborn homosexuals. Dems have typically enjoyed a monopoly of "gay rights." So pro-choice Dems have quite a dilemma on their hands. On the contrary, pro-lifers have no problem protecting any unborn child from abortion. No child deserves to die. Although many conservatives may be against gay marriage, this is vastly different than wishing death upon them.
