Fetal Stem Cell Demand

In Ukraine the demand for fetal stem cells is so high that they have taken extreme measures to collect the cells.

This is what many pro-life persons are afraid of. It seems that many in the world think that fetal stem cells will cure every disease, fix any problem, and let people live forever. In fact adult stem cells (which are not harvested after the stopping of a fetus'/baby's heart) perform better than infant stem cells.

Why do some people on the left still cling to stem cells as a necessary area of research? It is an area that if not allowed may eventually change peoples hearts about abortion. There is no way they want people to see a fetus or unborn baby as a person. This may stop their hard fought after right to abortion for any reason, at any time.

Terrorists Support the Democrats

From a recent AP article:

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a rare video message, Afghan insurgent leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar claims that American troops will be forced out of Afghanistan like the Soviets before them. The leader of the Hezb-e-Islami militant group also touts the Republican Party defeat in last month's U.S. midterm elections as a victory for militants fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. "It seems that every bullet that mujahedeen had fired toward the Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan has turned into a vote against Bush," Hekmatyar said in the undated video statement received by Associated Press Television in Pakistan. "There is no doubt that is a great victory and success for Afghan and Iraqi mujahedeen," he said. "I am convinced that the fate Soviet Union faced is awaiting America as well."

Militants in Afghanistan think that the Soviet Union crumbled because of there war with them. They are jubilant to see the Democrats win this year, and would love to see a Democrat President in 08'. I think the enemy's support for Democrats originates due to the following: 1. The terrorists know that American's cannot stomach a long drawn out war, even if there are few casualties. They have successfully used the American (world) media to their advantage. Democrats are much more likely to follow what is in their best political interest opposed to America's interest. Therefore if the American public has become disgruntled with the way the war is going, for whatever reason, the Democrats are more willing to abandon and change course with opinion. 2. They also know that Democrats are much less likely to finish the job that Republican's have started. Many Democrats are adamant about leaving Iraq already, regardless of the outcome. In their eyes any failures can be blamed on President Bush. 3. And along the same lines. Democrats are much more likely to fully pull out of Iraq. This will be a major moral victory to all insurgents in the Middle East. They will be able to say Allah helped them defeat the "Evil Empire." Terrorist, regardless of ideology, will support whomever will least impede their path to success. In this case it is clear who they support.

My Air America experience

While browsing through Itunes I was looking for some talk radio to listen to late one night while working on my computer. I happened upon Air America, so I decided to give it a try and see what it was like. I wish I could have listened to more true commentary or "talk radio" but after listening for over 18 minutes I finally gave up.

Of those 18 minutes I would say 16 were commercials. About a third of the commercials were for normal things - many of which I have hear during conservative programming. The other third was for a more liberal demographic - including a 2 minutes New York Times add, go figure. The last third was some crazy commercials. Imagine hearing an add for a product which calls President Bush and chimp and Hilter all in the same 30 seconds. Wow. I couldn't believe it. There were others urging impeachment (maybe they consider this a public service announcment because there was really no product).

The 2 minutes of actual programming consisted of a caller and a host discussing how blacks are pulled over much more than white, which they call "Driving while Black." They both agreed that statistics should be kept on who is pulled over so that these would more closely represent the racial breakdown of the U.S. I guess it isn't enough to just go after criminals.

All in all I can see why Air America is going bankrupt, anger and hate can only last so long without actual substance. Maybe I'll give it another chance in the future, but I doubt it will be around in a few months.

So now the Dems are being supported by terrorists. Way to go. If your enemy's enemy is your friend, what does that make your enemy's friend?
