PPA Annual Report

Planned Parenthood has updated their annual report for 2004. There are some interesting statistics that can be found here. Planned Parenthood speaks of having many a total "family planning" center where they provide contraception, adoption referrals, and abortion. According to the annual report their abortion business has been growing, compared to their adoption referral. For every 1 adoption that PP referrals, they provide 138 abortions. This number has grown significantly in the last eight years. In 1997 there were 18 abortions per adoption. No one should be confused when reading the annual report that Planned Parenthood is a business. One-third of PPs income is from abortion, and they undoubtedly would like this to grow. They do not mention the individual sales from each abortionist for tissue studies. This will be the topic of a future post.
